Category: Electrical Installation

Electrical Installation is one of the courses that electrical-engineering students take during their undergraduate years. Electrical Installation is basically all about Safety. Students who take Electrical Installation are taught how to complete an electrical installation so they can pass the test, but they are also taught how to maintain safety during their working life after they leave University.

As in any other course, when they start this course, most students don’t know exactly what to expect from this course. They just know that it’s called “Electrical Installation”, and each time they go to the lectures, the teacher seems to be talking about something different. From another student, you will get a completely different answer. This is not strange at all; because there are many things that you need to know in order to complete an electrical installation safely.

These courses usually include information about electrical installation systems, wires, and cables, installation requirements for lighting and appliances in accordance with the Electrical Installations (Safety) Regulations 1994 (SI1994/2892), earthing systems, testing and inspection procedures, maintenance of electrical installations and many more aspects that are important for your career as an electrician.

Electrical installation is the process of fitting out a new building or an existing building with electrical devices and the accompanying cabling.

Many of the properties in Cyprus are still equipped with old-fashioned electrical installations and many people don’t know how to use these installations safely.
So it became necessary for third parties to come and fix our installations and make them safe for use. These third parties are the Electricians, who put their lives at risk every day while we sleep soundly in our beds.
